This category is to store uncategorised (in Naturemapr taxonomy) fungus. These species need to be moved to the appropriate branch of the taxonomy (categorisation). Moderators are encouraged to move these species.
Arrrggghhh! I didn’t look carefully enough and missed this being an anamorphic state! I’d go for Xylaria cubensis (Xylocoremium state). You could, quite correctly, use just Xylaria cubensis, but I like the idea having a separate pigeonhole for those observations that show only the anamorphic form. I did something like this for the ACT where I added the ‘species’ Septobasidium clelandii (Harpographium state). In the field guide the observations of the anamorphic and non-anamorphic states would be right alongside each other.
@Heino1 Xylocoremium flabelliforme is the anamorph of Xylaria cubensis; as such should this be added as a separate species? Your advice will be appreciated.
